◦ All five leaders were prominent advocates of a middle course for states in the Developing World between the Western and Eastern Blocs in the Cold War.
● Statement 2 : Because the Non-Aligned Movement was formed as an attempt to thwart the Cold War, it has struggled to find relevance since the Cold War ended. Belarus is the only member of the Movement in Europe.
◦ As the world has become more polarised between USA and China, hardly any nation has been able to keep itself aloof from involving itself with these major powers.
◦ However, the movement still continues and has not really ended. Hence, Statement 2 is NOT correct .
