● The work of the Chambal project started in 1952-54 .
● It is a joint project of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh .
● In this, both states have a 50-50 per cent share .
● Three dams, five power plants, and a large barrage have been built under this project.
● Dams were built on the Chambal river under the Chambal project will supply water and electricity in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
● Several canals have also been passed through these dams, which provide water for irrigation in both the states.
