A wire-bound standard resistor uses manganin or constantan. Itis because they have resistivity which almost remains equal withthe temperature. Manganin have virtually zero temperature coefficient and the length of the alloy material does not vary with the temperature. So the resistance offered by this alloy is constant at any condition.
