Centrifugation is a separation technique. It uses centrifugal force to accelerate the settling of particles in a solid–liquid mixture. By using rapid rotation, accelerated gravitational force can be achieved for separation. It is commonly used in the separation of solid substances from high concentrated suspensions. Centrifugation is the process of separation of insoluble materials from a liquid where normal filtration does not work well.
