Arab scientist, Al–Khwarizmi was the director of the House of Wisdom in Bagdad in the early 9th Century. He translated many Indian and Greek books based on astronomy and mathematics. He was given the credit of christening the mathematical discipline of the algorithm. In Latin, his name derived the word ‘algorithm’.
