A Joint Sitting of the Parliament is resorted to for resolving the deadlock between the two Houses of the Parliament for passing the Ordinary Bill. A Joint Session of the Parliament, called under Article 108 of the Constitution, is an extraordinary machinery provided by the Constitution to resolve a deadlock between the two Houses over the passage of a bill. There is no provision for Joint Sitting in case of the Constitutional Amendment Bill and Money Bill.
