‘Pragati’ scholarship scheme of the Government of India is meant for the technical education of the girls. It was launched by the Government from the year 2014- 15. Pragati is a Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) scheme being implemented by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Under it, one girl per family whose family income is less than ` 6 lakhs per annum shall be covered.
