As per Census 2011, the concentration of the Scheduled Caste population (going by percentage of Scheduled Caste population to the total population of the state) is the highest in the state of Punjab (31.9%). Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh have the Scheduled Caste population of 25.2%, 23.5% and 20.7%, respectively of their total population.
