Election commission of India recognized political parties as national parties, state parties and registered-unrecognized parties.
There are eight recognized national parties in India which includes Indian National Congress (INC), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), the Communist Party of India (CPI), the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M), the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) and National People's Party (NPP).
