Fungus does not contribute to propagation of plants through seed dispersal. Seed dispersal is the movement of seeds away from the parent plant. Plants rely upon both abiotic vectors and biotic vectors for this. Seeds disperse using five main modes, i.e., gravity, wind, ballistics, water and animals. Some plants are serotinous and only disperse their seeds in response to an environmental stimulus.
