In a right-angled triangle ABC , If a perpendicular BD is drawn on the hypotenuse AC from the right-angled vertex then
BD2=AD×CD Calculation:
According to the question
AD=9 units and
CD=16 units
And we have to find the value of BD
Now, According to the concept used
BD2=AD×CD
⇒BD2=9×16=144
⇒BD2=122
⇒BD=12‌ units ‌
∴ The required length of the perpendicular is 12 units.
