Calculation:
Let number of employees in the company be x, then
Number of males in the company = x × [3/5] = 3x/5
Number of females in the company = x – [3x/5] = 2x/5
Number of married males = [3x/5] × [1/3] = x/5
Number of females who are not married = [2x/5] × [3/4] = 3x/10
Number of married females = [2x/5] – [3x/10] = x/10
According to the question
[x/5] + [x/10] = 300
⇒ (2x + x)/10 = 300
⇒ 3x/10 = 300⇒ 3x/10 = 300
⇒ x = 1000
∴ Total number of employees in the company is 1000.
