GIVEN:
Two persons are initially 24 km apart.
Speed of slower person is 16 km/h
Distance travelled by faster person when both meet = 120 km.
CONCEPT:
Speed, time and distance
FORMULA USED:
Distance = Time × Speed
CALCULATION:
Distance travelled by faster person = 120 km
Distance travelled by slower person = 120 – 24 = 96 km
Travelling time of both the person when they meet = 96/16 = 6 hours
∴ Speed of faster person = 120/6 = 20 km/h
