Given:
Side of triangle = 84 cm
Formula:
Area of triangle = [√3/4] × a2 (a=side)
Area of circle = πr2 (r = radius)
Circum-radius of triangle = a/√3
Calculation:
Area of triangle = [√3/4] × 84 × 84 = 1764√3 = 1764 × 1.73 ≈ 3052 cm2
Area of circle = [22/7] × [84/√3] × [84/√3] = 7392 cm2
∴ Area of circle is more than that of triangle = 7392 – 3052 = 4340 cm2
