Satavahanas were successors of Mauryan in the Deccan and Central India. Their capital was Paithan/Pratisthan. Gautamiputra Satakarhi (106-130 A) was the greatest ruler of Satavahana Dynasty. He assumed the tittle of Raja-Raja and Maharaja.
