'National Technology Day' is observed on 11th May to commemorate the 5 nuclear tests that were successfully carried out on 11th May, 1998. The theme for 2020 was 'Rebooting the economy through science, technology and research translations titled restart'. 9th August is celebrated as the international day of the world's indigenous peoples. 9th August is also celebrated as Nagasaki Day as the US in 1945, dropped a second bomb on Japan known as 'Fat Man'. 8th September is celebrated as International Literacy Day and World Physical Therapy Day also. 17th May is celebrated as the World Telecommunication Day as it marks the founding of ITU when the first International Telegraph convention was signed in Paris in 1865.
