Let the three consecutive even numbers are (2x), (2x +2) and ( 2x + 4)
Their product = 2x × (2x + 2) × ( 2x + 4)
If x = 1, then
Product = 2 × (2+2) × (2 + 4) = 2 × 4 × 6 = 48× 1
If x = 2, then
Product = 4 × (4 + 2) × (4 + 4) = 4 × 6 × 8 = 192 = 48 × 4
∴ Required number = 48
