The Vienna Convention is a multilateral environmental agreement that was signed on 22 March, 1985 for the protection of the ozone layer. The Montreal Protocol was signed on 26 August, 1987 to protect the ozone layer by phasing out the production of numerous substances that are responsible for ozone depletion.
