In the mesosphere, temperature decreases as the altitude increases. The top of the mesosphere is the coldest part of the atmosphere. It can get down to -90° C (-130° F). Mesosphere is the layer of the Earth’s atmosphere that is directly above the stratosphere and directly below the thermosphere.
