Both India and USA follow the system of dual government where a Federal government is in charge of national and international matters like Foreign Policy, Currency Regulation, Taxation, Armed Forces, etc. while the State Government governs local and regional subjects. The Indian Constitution establishes a dual polity consisting the Union at the Centre and the states at the periphery. Each is endowed with sovereign powers to be exercised in the field assigned to them respectively by the Constitution.
