Jog Falls, also known as Gerosoppa Falls, is created by the Sharavathi River falling from a height of 253 meters in on the Sagara and Uttara Kannada border in Karnataka. It is the secondhighest plunge waterfall in India after the Nohkalikai Falls with a drop of 335 m in Meghalaya.
