All other planets except Uranus and Venus shows anti-clockwise rotation/ prograde rotation i.e. the same sense as rotation of sun. Uranus and Venus have clockwise/ retrograde rotation. Most satellites of planet revolve around in prograde sense. Direction of rotation of earth is West to East. Usually Venus is nearest planet to Earth. During some instances mars can be the nearest planet.
