Aravalli’s range is old mountain range, which rose in the Pre-Cambrian era and it is the oldest among the given formations. Dharwar formations are younger than Archean rock system and it is considered to be 2500 million to 1800 million years old. It provides first metamorphic sedimentary rock system in India. Many minerals are found in it. Cuddapah system is considered to be 1400-600 million years old. They are mainly found in Andhara Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Rajasthan, Delhi and the lesser Himalayas.
