Events in sequential order as they happened in India are: Mahalanobis Model, Plan Holiday and Rolling Plan. The Second Five Year Plan (1956-61) is based on the P.C. Mahalanobis Model. Its main focus was on the industrial development of the country. The duration of Plan Holiday was from 1966 to 1969. The main reason behind it was the Indo-Pakistan war and failure of the Third Plan. The Rolling Plan was started with an annual plan for 1978-79.
