Statement (2) is not correct with regard to Aridisol as these are very poor in organic matter. Aridisols (or desert soils) are a soil order in USA soil taxonomy. Aridisols are dry, desert-like soils that have low organic content and are sparsely vegetated by drought- or salt-tolerant plants. The concept of Aridisols is based on the low availability of soil moisture for sustained plant performance.
