Statements (1), (2) and (3) are correct. The father of Green Revolution, Norman Borlaug was a US agricultural scientist who was awarded 1970 Nobel Peace Prize. He was chosen for the Nobel Prize for developing high-yielding crops; modernisation of irrigation infrastructure; introduction of synthetic fertilisers and pesticides to prevent famine in the developing world. The Green Revolution is known for the development of crops, such as wheat that delivered better yields than the traditional strains. He was also a recipient of the Padma Vibhushan, India's second highest civilian honour.
