Under the flexible exchange rate system, the exchange rate is determined predominantly by market mechanism. A flexible exchange rate system is a monetary system that allows the exchange rate to be determined by supply and demand. Within this system, we can find two types of flexible exchange rates – pure floating regimes and managed floating regimes.
