Information under the RTI Act, 2005 can be provided in respect ofBorder Road Organisation (BRO).BRO draws its workforce from two streams, i.e., Army and Civil. The personnel from Civil stream are called General Reserve Engineer Force (popularly known as GREF). The officers and subordinates from the Army are posted to BRO on Extra Regimental Employment (ERE) tenure for a period of two and-a-half to three years. BRO develops and maintains road networks in India's border areas and friendly neighbouring countries.
