Comrade, Hamdard, Zamindar and Al Hilal were the sets ofnewspapers that reflected the concerns of the educated IndianMuslims during the Khilafat Movement. The Comrade was aweekly English-language newspaper that was published and edited by Maulana Mohammad Ali. Zamindar was a newspaper in Urdu language. The founding editor of this newspaper was Maulana Zafar Ali Khan. The Al-Hilal was a weekly Urdu language newspaper established by the Indian leader Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
