The Rangarajan Panel Report on poverty estimation headed byChairman C Rangarajan has dismissed (not endorsed as given inthe question) the Tendulkar Committee report on estimating poverty and said that the number of poor in India was much higher in2011-12 at 29.5 percent of the population, which means that threeout of 10 persons are poor. The Expert Group under the Chairmanship of Dr. C. Rangarajan to Review the Methodology for theMeasurement of Poverty in the country constituted by the PlanningCommission in June 2012 has submitted its report on 30th June,2014. So, only statement (1) is correct
