‘Project Seabird’ is connected with Greenfield naval base at West Coast of India. The objectives of Project Seabird are as follows: 1. It aims to ease the naval dockyards in Mumbai which is clogged due to increased traffic and pollution. 2. Another major reason is toestablish a major base at some distance from the Pakistani cities and the range of their missiles. 3. The base will be used for deploying Russian-origin aircraft carrier Admiral Gorshkov, Scorpenesubmarines and carry out military aircraft operations
