Two strands of DNA are held together by hydrogen bonds. A DNAmolecule consists of two strands of nucleotides twisted together toform a double helix. The sugarphosphate backbone is found on the outside of this helix and the bases are found branching towards the middle. Hydrogen bonds join the nitrogenous bases and hold the two strands together.
