When Vaseline was applied to both surfaces of the leaves of aplant, then all the three processes viz. photosynthesis ,respiration and transpiration were affected. Stomata are anatomical featuresthat are located on the underside of the leaves of plants that live onland. These structures, which are the 'pores' of the plant's skin,provide openings for the exchange of gases. Water is also releasedthrough the stomata in a process called transpiration. Due toapplication of Vaseline, the stomata may get closed which in turn willaffect all the three processes.
