The Judge of the High Courts in India is administered oath of officeby the Governor of the State. Article 219 of Indian Constitution requires a person appointed as a Judge of a High Court, before entering upon his office, to make and subscribe an oath or affirmation before the Governor of the State or some person appointed by him for this purpose.
