(d) Liyaqat Ali was a Muslim religious leader from Allahabad(now Prayagraj). He was one of the leaders in the revolt against the British in 1857, which is known as the Indian Mutiny, or the Sepoy Mutiny. The revolt is also known as the First War of Independence.
