(d) The maximum number of human skeletons have been found in Lekhahia rock shelter of Vindhyas. The excavation is situated in the Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh. The paintings of different shades and motifs belong to deer, bovidhunting scenes, the superimposition and overlapping of graves. Eight burial phases have been inferred the pieces of red ochre and weathered laterite nodules were also obtained from the shelter.
