(c) Methane gas released from biogas plant is used as a fuel gas. Biogas is a renewable source of energy, produced from the breakdown of organic matter in the absence of oxygen. Biogas can be produced from raw materials, such as agricultural waste, manure,municipal waste, plant material,sewage, green waste or food waste. Biogas is composed of methane gas, carbon dioxide, and trace amounts of nitrogen, hydrogen and carbon monoxide.
