(d) Odisha launched in February 2015 a ‘Dolphin Census’ in the costal ecosystem and shorelines of the State. It is conducted by the Wildlife Wings of Odisha. Its entire area from Udaipur in Baleswar district to Pati Sonpur in Ganjam district has been covered for the census. The Irrawaddy Dolphin population of Chilika Lake was at 158, recording an increase of 9%every year in 2014.
