(a) S.C. Bose had regarded the Karachi Session of Indian National Congress (1931) as the ‘pinnacle of Mahatma Gandhi’s popularity and prestige’. The Karachi session was presided over by Sardar Patel. The Congress adopted a resolution on Fundamental Rights and Economic Policy which represented the party’s social, economic and political programme. It was later known as the Karachi Resolution.
