(d) Kochi and Vishakhapatnam are the natural ports in India. India has 13 major ports which handle a huge volume of cargo traffic and container traffic. Out of them, the Kandla, Mumbai, JNPT, Mangalore,Mormugao Port, and Cochin are situated at the Western Coast,while Paradip, Chennai,Vishakhapatnam, Tuticorin,Kolkata, and Ennore are located on the Eastern Coast.
