Statement: Has globalization helped in the development of India?
Argument:
1) Yes. Since globalization measures were introduced in the late nineties, India was able to achieve steady economic growth while other developed economies were struggling with recession.
(2) No. Economic growth is not just an increase in income. It should also increase the welfare of the people. Even after 20 years of adopting the measures of globalization, India still has a large percentage of poor people.
