The National Disaster Response Force of the Government of India hosted the second BIMSTEC DMEx-2020 at Bhubaneshwar.
The exercise held between February 11, 2020, and February 13, 2020.
The main aim of this exercise is to test/analyze the existing emergency procedures ,disaster-related problems , during flood, earthquake, and storms, etc.
It also stressed upon the restoring heritage sites damaged due to disasters.
Basically BIMSTEC countries namely Bangladesh,India,Myanmar,Sri Lanka , and Nepal participated in the exercise.
But Thailand and Bhutan are not participating in the exercise this time
