Solution:

Let the MP of the table be x
x × (9/10) × (8/10) = 18x/25
Single equivalent discount

({\x-{18\x}/25}/\x×100)=

[7x/25x] × 100 = 28%
ALTERNATIVE METHOD :
Equivalent Discount = a + b – a × b/100
⇒ 20 + 10 – 20 × 10/100
⇒ 28%
