In the inductive method, the teacher makes students ‘detect or notice patterns’ and work out a 'rule' for themselves. In other words, instead of explaining a given concept and following this explanation with examples, the teacher presents students with many examples showing how the concept is used and lets them figure out the concept/idea/rule. So, maximum participation of students is ensured.
All the other three methods are teacher-centric where students are passive receivers of information.
