Classroom communication has three components: verbal, nonverbal and written. Verbal communication comprises words spoken by the teacher and students. Nonverbal communication refers to their body language and gestures. Written communication comprises writing directed at the teaching-learning process including teacher’s board work, report card comments and student assignments. Teachers and students interact with one another in various contexts, and use all of these three types of communication. Classroom communication is normally considered as cognitive.
