A number is chosen at random from the set{l(2 ,3 , ....... ,50}. The probability for the chosen number to be a prime or cube o f an integer is?

Solution:

Total outcomes = 50.
Perfect cubes are = 1, 8, 27 = 3.
Prime numbers are = 15.
∴ Favourable outcomes

= 15 + 3 = 18

Required probability

=18/50=9/25
