Solution:

GCD of

28 (= 4 × 7)

and

49 (= 7 × 7)

is 7
Given

28x + 49y = 7⇒4x + 7y = 1

The equation is satisfied for

x = 2

and

y = -1

Hence

(x, y) = (2, –1)
