Solution:

Let the total profit be 10t.
A’s share in profit = 2/5th of

10t = 4t

B’s share = C’s share

= 1/2(10t-4t) = 3t

Given,

3t = 4t- 4000⇒t=4000

The total profit

= 10 × 4000 = 40000.
