In ∆APQ,

\tan 30^{∘}=\;{ PQ }/{ AP }

={1}/{√{3}}={ PQ }/{ AP }

⇒ AP =√{3} PQ

In ∆BPQ,

\tan 60^{∘}={ PQ }/{BP}⇒√{3}={P Q}/{B P} ⇒ BP ={P Q}/{√{3}}

AB = AP – BP

√{3}=√{3} PQ -\;{ PQ }/{√{3}}

√{3}=\;{2 PQ }/{√{3}} ⇒ PQ =\;{3}/{2} km =1500m
