Solution:

We can write,

3x+4y=5

...(i)

x–2y=–6

...(ii)
(i) + 2 × (ii) gives

5x=-7⇒x=-7/5

Substituting if in (ii) gives

y=23/10

∴(x,y)=(-7/5,23/10)
